Ingredient List
- 2 lb ground turkey (at least 93% lean)
- 2 cans (14.5 oz) Muir Glen™ Organic Diced Tomatoes
- 2 cans (16 oz each) red beans, drained
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 1 packet (1 oz) Old El Paso™ Chili Seasoning Mix
Preparation
- Cook the ground turkey in a large pot over medium-high heat until it loses its pink color. Add the chili seasoning and 2 cups of water, let boil for 15 minutes.
- Add the onion, the tomato and then the beans. Stir well and cook for 15-20 minutes at low heat.
- Serve with white rice, avocado, grated cheese and chives (optional).
Expert Tips
- Turkey is right in the recipe name, but it’s just as delicious if you use ground beef instead.
- Don’t have red beans? Black beans will work just as well.
- Double the recipe if you want leftovers. This dish tastes even better the next day.
